Impress your guests with the perfect espresso and creamy cappuccino and get inspiration on how to brew the best morning coffee for yourself. You will gain skills to brew on your own espresso machine, as we do in the coffee shops. In the course, we will go over the fundamental elements it takes to brew the best cup of espresso coffee at home. You will learn about coffee grinding, dosing, distribution, and tamping, among other things, and gain an understanding of the craft behind a well-brewed cup of coffee. We're going to taste a lot of espresso coffee together and talk about aromas and consistency, and how you can actively influence the result that emerges through brewing. You also get to test your skills in steaming milk. The course is very practically oriented, so you can learn the art with your own hands. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with the craft behind a refined cup of espresso and try your hand at the skills required to make a creamy cappuccino. The course is aimed at home brewers and those who want to try their hand at the barista profession and is not suitable as a professional barista training.

Coffee course

Our coffee course is for those who really value their coffee brewing at home and who want to get inspired and learn something new. Our knowledgeable barista will guide you through the world of coffee. We will talk about the journey from coffee bean to cup. We will introduce the factors that influence how the coffee tastes - sourcing quality coffee, harvesting and processing, roasting, and, of course, brewing. You will learn about coffee extraction, your coffee grinder, and grind setting. You will learn how to taste different aromas in each cup and get inspiration on how to choose the coffee that suits you the best. The focus will be on black filter coffee and some of the most popular brewing methods including the Espro French Press, hand brewing on an Aeropress, and pour-over on the Kalita Wave. We see coffee as a craftmanship. Here you will find a space to be nerdy, advance your coffee skills, and learn how to taste and brew coffee. The small size of the group makes sure you have time to ask questions. You'll go from here with hands-on experience in tasting and brewing the coffee yourself - and techniques to fine-tune it exactly to your personal preference.

Coffee Tasting

Coffee has tremendous flavor potential and it requires hard work in every step of the way from coffee berry to coffee cup. We will explore this together for our Coffee Tasting. We want to give an understanding of what it takes to produce the highest quality coffee. You will be introduced to our coffee roaster and the work Coffee Collective does to ensure the overall coffee experience - both when it comes to the taste in each cup and the way we approach the coffee trade, the pricing of coffees and long-term collaborations with coffee producers. We will delve into some of the elements that affect the taste of coffee, including coffee varieties, cultivation conditions, production methods and roasting and brewing of the coffee. You will be guided through a professional coffee tasting - a cupping - and we will taste a variety of coffees together. We talk about the aromas that are present in the cup and you will become more aware of your own taste preferences. You may experience fruitiness and acidity in some of the cups, while you will get a more sweet and chocolatey feel in others.

Latte Art course

At Coffee Collective, we see every cup as an opportunity to create something beautiful. Our Latte Art Course is designed for those who want to dive deeper into the craft of coffee brewing and learn the techniques that can transform a cup into a work of art. During our hands-on sessions, you'll work closely with our skilled baristas, who are eager to share their knowledge and passion for latte art. By the end of the course, you will not only understand the techniques behind each design but also feel confident to continue practising on your own. We recommend this course for anyone with a basic understanding of espresso equipment, whether from our introductory espresso course, home brewing, or other experience. This foundation will help you get the most out of the course and enhance your learning journey.

Roastery course

Dive deeper into the fascinating universe of coffee with our Roasting Course, where you get the chance to master the art of roasting coffee yourself. Quality coffee starts with the coffee farmers, and it takes detail-oriented and hard work to produce high-quality coffee. Learn more about the raw product, the green coffee beans, when our skilled coffee leftovers share their many years of experience. You'll gain a better understanding of the work that goes into quality control of Coffee Collective's coffee, and the work our toasters do every day behind the glass wall. We'll talk about humidity levels, coffee errors, roasting curves and roasting profiles, and how these things affect the final result in the cup of coffee that you get to experience in a cuppa — a professional coffee tasting. We fire up our sample loads and you get the opportunity to sort the green beans by hand, develop and roast your own batch of coffee for you to enjoy at home. This course aims to create a space where we can delve a little deeper into the huge potential of quality coffee, but whether you are a beginner or already have experience with coffee roasting, this course hopes to give you new insights and inspire your future coffee adventures. The course is primarily aimed at home roasters and enthusiasts and not people who want to learn how to roast coffee at a professional level.

PRIVATE Espresso Course

Dive into the craft of espresso smoking with your colleagues, friends or family. Step behind the bar and get hands-on instruction in the art of espresso. Together with one of our experienced baristas, you dive into the craft behind a tasty espresso; the cornerstone of most milk-based coffee drinks such as cappuccino and cortado. The course is based on the basic techniques it takes to brew espresso, both in the office and at home. You will learn about grinding, dosing, distribution and tamping, and gain an understanding of how each part of the process affects the taste in the cup. Along the way, we taste espresso together and talk about aroma, mouthfeel and how to fine-tune one's brewing to achieve the desired result. There will also be an opportunity to work with steaming milk and test the technique in practice. \ \ The course is practically oriented and takes place in small teams, where there is plenty of time for questions and individual guidance.
