Coffee has great flavor potential, and it takes hard work and precision at each link in the coffee's way from seed to cup. This is what we will explore together in our Coffee Tasting.
We aim to give an understanding of what it takes to produce coffee of the highest quality. You will be introduced to our coffee roastery and the work Coffee Collective does to ensure the final coffee experience - both talking about the flavor in each cup and the way we approach coffee trading, the pricing of beans, and the long-lasting relationship with our coffee partners.
We will dive into some of the deciding factors when talking about flavor in coffee; including coffee varieties, terroir, production methods, roasting, and brewing.
You will be guided through a cupping - a professional coffee tasting - and we will taste a range of coffees together. We will talk about the aromas present in each cup and aim to make you more aware of your own preferences when choosing coffee for yourself. Maybe you will experience that some coffees have fruity aromas and acidity, while others are focused on sweetness and have notes of chocolate.
