Coffee Tasting

Coffee has tremendous flavor potential and it requires hard work in every step of the way from coffee berry to coffee cup. We will explore this together for our Coffee Tasting.
We want to give an understanding of what it takes to produce the highest quality coffee. You will be introduced to our coffee roaster and the work Coffee Collective does to ensure the overall coffee experience - both when it comes to the taste in each cup and the way we approach the coffee trade, the pricing of coffees and long-term collaborations with coffee producers.
We will delve into some of the elements that affect the taste of coffee, including coffee varieties, cultivation conditions, production methods and roasting and brewing of the coffee.
You will be guided through a professional coffee tasting - a cupping - and we will taste a variety of coffees together. We talk about the aromas that are present in the cup and you will become more aware of your own taste preferences. You may experience fruitiness and acidity in some of the cups, while you will get a more sweet and chocolatey feel in others.
What is included
- Course of 1.5 hours
- Short tour of our coffee roastery
- Introduction to Coffee Collective, Direct Trade and Sustainability in Coffee Trade
- Brief presentation of what it takes to produce quality coffee at all stages of coffee farms, for coffee roasters and baristas
- Tasting 6-8 different coffees in a professional cupping
- Learning about coffee tasting with a focus on taste, aroma and mouthfeel

When you arrive, simply report your arrival at the coffee shop and you will be shown the way. The course is held in our cupping room in the living room (where there is wheelchair access).
